Program Structure & Thematic Areas

A short, intensive format combining academic sessions, guided field engagement, and a final capstone project.
Faculty mentoring and local supervision ensure structure and accountability throughout. Programs run 2–6 weeks, with the exact length selected at application.

Each Fellowship centers on a thematic area — a defined field of study combining seminars, guided projects, and supervised observation.
Participants choose an area that matches their academic interests; placements are coordinated with partner institutions and host organizations in Athens.

Indicative areas include:

  • Neurodiversity & Pediatric Rehabilitation – developmental care, inclusion, and ethics in education.
  • Cancer Biology & Data Research – molecular science and public health through non-clinical research.
  • Nutrition & Community Health – Mediterranean diet, prevention, and community wellness.
  • Neurodegeneration & Interdisciplinary Care – systems of support for aging and cognitive health.
  • Cardiometabolic Health – prevention and behavior-change strategies for chronic disease.

All placements are non-clinical, observational, and supervised, following ethics, consent, and GDPR-aligned practices.
