Jenny Kratouna MBA, President, Co-Founder & Head of Finance HCISR

Jenny Kratouna is an international education professional with over 15 years of experience in program development, financial planning, and cross-sector collaboration. She holds an M.B.A. with a global perspective and is an alumna of Arcadia University. 

Based in Greece, she has worked on international initiatives funded by organizations such a UNHCR, UNICEF, and the EU. She previously served for over 13 years as Finance and Facilities Manager for the Arcadia University College of Global Studies in Athens, contributing to the operational success of its international academic programs. Her background spans higher education, global health, and nonprofit development, with a focus on academically grounded, interdisciplinary programs that bridge classroom learning with real-world impact. Her approach integrates ethical engagement and student-centered learning with a focus on financial sustainability and organizational accountability.

Jenny leads the development of study abroad initiatives and institutional partnerships with a global perspective. An economist, she holds a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Her financial expertise supports strong governance, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability across all HCISR operations.

Theoktisti Ntoumani MSc, Vice President , Co-Founder & Director HCISR

Theoktisti Ntoumani is a data analytics professional with over a decade of experience in European, international, and national projects across both the private and nonprofit sectors. She specializes in advanced data-driven methodologies, predictive modeling, and computational approaches.

Her professional background includes managing complex projects, data processes, and reporting workflows for large-scale initiatives funded by organizations such as the EU, ESA, EDIDP, IOM, UNHCR, and UNICEF. Her work spans diverse sectors, including education, humanitarian programming, innovation, space, and defense. She has coordinated scientific teams and supported structured project procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality deliverables.

Her technical expertise centers on computational data analysis, with a strong focus on machine learning, algorithmic modeling, artificial intelligence techniques, and advanced analytical frameworks for large-scale data processing. She has actively participated in educational programs and scientific events related to biostatistics, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling, including workshops and thematic sessions hosted by the Greek Statistical Institute and the Hungarian Centre of Excellence for Molecular Medicine. These experiences have strengthened her interest in computational bioinformatics, particularly in data analysis and modeling applications.

At HCISR, Theoktisti plays a key role in developing and advancing interdisciplinary STEM initiatives, supporting team coordination and programmatic coherence. Her combined expertise in analytical methods and complex project environments contributes significantly to the effectiveness and quality of HCISR’s activities.

Theano Talamagka MSc, Co-Founder Community, Partnerships Manager HCISR

Theano Talamagka is a licensed Clinical Dietitian–Nutritionist and PhD Candidate, with over 10 years of experience in clinical nutrition, chronic disease prevention, and community health. She holds a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Technological Educational Institute of Crete and an MSc in Metabolic Bone Diseases from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens – School of Medicine, where she specialized in nutritional interventions for children with cerebral palsy.

Her work bridges clinical practice with community-based care, with a strong emphasis on the Mediterranean diet, healthy aging, and evidence-based nutritional strategies for vulnerable populations. She collaborates with NGOs supporting mental health units for end-stage dementia patients, as well as juvenile support programs for adolescents with learning and behavioral difficulties. She also develops and delivers youth-focused educational activities through the “You in Europe” initiative, promoting healthy eating habits and informed macronutrient choices.

In addition to her clinical and community engagement, Theano has teaching experience at IEK Alfa, where she has instructed courses in Nutrition and Dietetics, including Basic Principles of Dietetics, Sports Nutrition & Performance, and foundational nutrition modules across allied health departments.

A dedicated advocate for social impact, Theano volunteers with organizations such as the Hellenic Society for Skeletal Health “Petalouda” and Cerebral Palsy Greece – “Open Door”. She also contributes as a clinical dietitian to the healthy Nourishment program, applying her expertise to support vulnerable populations and participating in initiatives that promote healthy nutrition for both children and older adults. As a volunteer dietitian for the “Safe Nourishment” program, she works on implementing nutritional strategies for children with cerebral palsy.

During her visit to California in 2025, Theano took part in volunteer activities with the Alzheimer’s Association, contributing to public outreach, community education efforts and dementia-awareness events including the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This experience added an international dimension to her work in community health, which now informs her contributions to HCISR’s programs in aging, nutrition, and caregiver education.

Within HCISR, Theano builds interdisciplinary collaborations with NGOs, healthcare institutions, and community partners, integrating scientific learning with real-world social impact across the center’s applied learning and study-abroad programs.
