Nutrition & Cerebral Palsy: Where Science Meets Social Action
At the Hellenic Center for Interdisciplinary Studies & Research (HCISR), we are committed to applying scientific knowledge in ways that directly benefit individuals, families, and communities.
Bringing together researchers, health professionals, and educators, our team leads a range of interdisciplinary initiatives. Within this framework, we design resources and practical support for children with cerebral palsy (CP) and their caregivers.
Our contribution in this field includes scientific work such as the publication “Nutritional interventions in children with cerebral palsy: a mini review” (Journal of Research and Practice on the Musculoskeletal System, 2019). Read the article here.
Beyond research, our community initiatives, including the Safe Nourishment project supported by the Hellenic Community of Canada, have enabled us to work closely with families, translating evidence-based insights into everyday guidance.
Through caregiver training, nutrition resources, and targeted educational actions, we are reminded that meaningful impact is achieved through collective effort.
At HCISR, we remain committed to designing programs that combine scientific knowledge, social awareness, and practical education, ensuring that every child and family receives the care and support they deserve.
